Client : Is video games helpful in treatment of disorder?




Therapist; Schizophrenia is a prevalent and serious disorder. Video games have shown potential as an aid in health care for people who suffer from schizophrenia. 
In short, it is effective when used in a systematic therapeutic way along with the other therapeutic techniques for better treatment outcomes.and it is concluded in the different scientific studies conducted from 2017 to 2023.

Client :I m a mother of autistic child  , I just read this post in Facebook. Sometime Hassan talking alone same wording continuously . As a videogame is available at home so I concern is it really works?

Therapist:Many children on the autism spectrum use echolalia, which means they repeat others’ words or sentences. They might repeat the words of familiar people (parents, teachers), or they might repeat sentences from their favourite video.
When children repeat words right after they hear them, it’s known as immediate echolalia. When they repeat words at a later time, it’s known as delayed echolalia. As a result of the time delay, delayed echolalia may seem very unusual because these sentences are used out of context.

Client:And what about immidate echolalia?I mean how can its cover up?

Therapist: 
1.Use simple words and phrases.
2.Prompt the correct response.
3.Use Visuals.
4.Do not ask questions.
Offer choices.
5.Stay patient
6.Cunsult with Speech therapist
